Webinar: Selecting, Preparing for, and Implementing Evidence-Based Programs in Community and School Settings

If you need additional information on evidence-based programs, you can watch the webinar on “Selecting, Preparing for, and Implementing Evidence-Based Programs in Community and School Settings” online. Participants learned why state and federal agencies strongly encourage communities and schools to adopt and implement evidence-based programs (EBPs); how to identify EBPs; and the value of selecting and implementing an EBP. Participants also learned how to decide which program is right for their community and school.

Dr. Jeanne Poduska and Dr. Allison Dyminicki of the American Institutes for Research, and Sandy Crawford, MSW, former Safe Schools/Healthy Students (SS/HS) Project Director, offered guidance on selecting and implementing EBPs in school and community settings.

The webinar offers an overview of EBPs, elements to consider when you select and plan to implement programs, and advice for overcoming challenges during program implementation. Sandy shares her experience as a school-based expert and what her district went through in selecting and implementing two evidence-based strategies.
