Gives an overview of the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program and tribal MIECHV program which are designed to (1) strengthen and improve the programs and activities carried out under Title V of the Social Security Act; (2) improve coordination of services for at-risk communities; and (3) identify and provide comprehensive services to improve outcomes for families who reside in at-risk communities.

Examination of youth violence prevention strategies has included firearm laws, therapeutic foster care, universal school-based violence prevention programs, and transfer of juveniles to adult courts.

Involves a collaborative effort from researchers and organizations to assist high-risk communities in implementing and evaluating a multifaceted, science-based approach for reducing youth violence.

Aids states, communities, tribes, territories, and organizations in efforts to assess their current financing structures/strategies; identify outcomes to achieve; consider a variety of financing strategies; and to prepare to develop a strategic financing plan.
