Texas Project LAUNCH

Texas and El Paso are expanding the success of El Paso’s original Project LAUNCH grant by supporting three diverse communities (San Antonio, Fort Worth, and the Yselta del Sur Pueblo) to increase developmental and social–emotional screenings for young children, implement parent-strengthening strategies, and strengthen the early childhood professional development system. The expansion communities are primarily urban areas with high rates of poverty. San Antonio and Fort Worth have high percentages of Hispanic, Spanish-speaking families and the Yselta del Sur Pueblo is home to the Tigua tribal nation. Texas Project LAUNCH is tailoring technical assistance for each of the expansion communities to help them build on existing efforts and address their unique challenges.
