Pennsylvania Project LAUNCH

In partnership with Allegheny Country, Pennsylvania Project LAUNCH promotes the wellness of young children from birth to 8 years of age by focusing on addressing the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral aspects of their development in a comprehensive, integrated manner. Allegheny County is Pennsylvania’s second largest county; more than 95% of the county is urban, with more than 20% of children ages 0 to 5 living at or below the federal poverty level. Using a public health approach, Pennsylvania Project LAUNCH supports universal health promotion and prevention efforts. Pennsylvania Project LAUNCH strives to promote a shared vision for the wellness of young children that drives the development of state and local networks for the coordination of key child-serving systems and the integration of behavioral and physical health services.
