Indian Township Tribal Government Project LAUNCH

The Passamaquoddy Tribe is located in two communities in the northeastern, coastal corner of Maine: Indian Township and Pleasant Point.  The Passamaquoddy Tribe is committed to improving services and infrastructure for all tribal entities serving high-risk young children from birth to 8 years of age and their families. The Passamaquoddy Tribe has 2,000 members in Washington County, which is the most impoverished county in Maine with a child poverty rate of 31%. Through the Passamaquoddy Tribe Project LAUNCH initiative, tribal child-serving agencies are partnering to build a sustainable system of care that is strength based, family driven, culturally competent, and based on an integrated public health model.
