A three-day SS/HS Summit was held with State program grantees and their partners on May 17-19, 2016 to support sustainability and expansion of SS/HS initiatives. Grantees used this opportunity to learn how to engage the family and youth voice in sustainability efforts, financing school mental health services, developing policy and infrastructure to support system change, and lessons learned over seventeen years of SS/HS implementation. Royce, White, a former NBA player, humanitarian, and advocate for youth and young adults with mental health motivates and inspires youth and adults to confront attitudes and beliefs about mental health. During his presentation at the SS/HS Summit, he identified opportunities for our SS/HS community to help overcome barriers and support our youth during difficult times.
