Please join us for the next SS/HS Communication Online Learning Event, “Educating Policymakers: Frame Your Message to Align with Their Priorities” scheduled for Wednesday, December 9, 2:00 pm EDT – 3:00 pm EDT.
Policymaker education allows you demonstrate the positive impact of SS/HS in your community and state, giving policymakers a blueprint for sustaining and replicating the success of your work elsewhere.
By engaging policymakers, you can help them learn more about important SS/HS issues—youth violence prevention, bullying, substance abuse prevention, and mental health promotion—and how these issues connect with their constituents. And by sharing the positive outcomes of your SS/HS initiative, you can also help to establish yourself as a valuable resource for policymakers.
As a participant in this online learning event, you will
- Understand your role as an educator
- Consider your local/state policy environment
- Learn five steps for successful policymaker education
- Explore message framing for policymakers
- Look at helpful resources
We look forward to “seeing” you online Wednesday, December 9th!
