Please join us on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 2:00–3:30 PM EST, for the fifth in a series of Online Learning Events (OLE): Getting Started OLE #5: CDC Legacy for Children. This event will provide an overview of the Legacy for Children (Legacy) program, which is a parent-focused public health preventative intervention model aimed at improving child outcomes by fostering positive parenting among low-income mothers of infants and young children. Legacy was designed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to impact child development through three mechanisms: promoting sensitive and responsive mother-child interactions, promoting maternal sense of community, and enhancing maternal self-efficacy. During this event, grantees will have a chance to learn more about the LAUNCH and CDC train-the-trainer opportunity and ask questions about the training and implementation of the Legacy program.
